Purpose of Role

The Regional Merchant drives and delivers regional merchandising strategies tailored to specific gender/consumer within the category business. The Merchant supports the delivery of a regional line plan to meet consumer and account needs while ensuring alignment with financial goals and growth opportunities. The Merchant works cross-functionally throughout UA to inspire a collaborative and supportive operating environment and be a consensus-builder who drives results.

Your Impact

• Deliver a comprehensive long-term merchandising strategy for gender and category within the region.

• Develop regional line plans to cater to consumer and account requirements, ensuring alignment with financial targets and regional growth prospects.

• Enhance SKU productivity and efficiency throughout the region.

• Create a merchandising flow calendar that identifies key items, business opportunities, sales trends, and product launches.

• Partner with Global Product, Product Merchandising and Channel Merchandising teams to identify new growth opportunities and potential revenue streams.

• Prioritize and aggregate channel needs for submission to the Global Product teams.

• Support Regional Go-to-Market initiatives in collaboration with Marketing, including seasonal storytelling, investment priorities, and hero product launches.

• Facilitate post-mortem analyses to track market shifts and evaluate performance across various metrics, enabling agile responses to business trends.

• Operate and maintain Merchandising systems (Armoury, Trasix, etc.) for the business.

• Convey clear understanding of seasonal sales data, demand metrics, and margin targets to guide increased article productivity and growth.

• Build Consensus and Relationships with Cross-Functional Partners to drive Merchandising excellence at UA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with typically 8 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with typically 6 years of relevant experience or typically 12 years of relevant work experience without degree.

• Previous experience in a Product Management or Merchandising position.

• Proven ability to develop profitable merchandising strategies and collaborate effectively across internal teams.

• Decisive and resolute in decision-making, even in ambiguous situations.

Workplace Location

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore office.

  • Return to Work Designation: 3 days week in-office, the remainder of work week remote.

Base Compensation

$93,606.00 - $128,708.80 USD

Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range, however, is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
